Job Summary As the Sous Chef of a premier corporate dining account, you will support the successful culinary operations of a café and catering services. This position generally works Monday through Friday AM shift and could be required to start as early as 5am. As the second most senior culinary manager on site, you'll be expected to uphold the duties of the Executive Chef in their absence. A keen eye for detail is required for success in this role. Key Responsibilities: Manage a team of 8 hourly associates Assist the Executive Chef with planning and creating menus, preparing and cooking various items, inventory and ordering Execute outstanding culinary services daily Ensure the operation is in compliance with all culinary related health and safety standards Build internal and external client relationships Preferred Qualifications: Some progressive culinary/kitchen management experience, depending on formal degree or training Catering experience a plus Comprehensive knowledge of food trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation Must be experienced with computers; to include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power Point), Outlook, E‑mail and the Internet Hospitality centered ServSafe certified – highly desirable Benefits Medical Dental Vision Life Insurance/ AD Disability Insurance Retirement Plan Paid Time Off Holiday Time Off (varies by site/state) Associate Shopping Program Health and Wellness Programs Discount Marketplace Identity Theft Protection Pet Insurance Commuter Benefits Employee Assistance Program Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) Paid Parental Leave Personal Leave Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.
